We thought that cybersecurity and privacy would be important technology themes in 2015. Little did we know!
Although there was an increase in cybersecurity budgets and increasing visibility into high-profile hacks – there were more hacks. The privacy debate continued unabated. Many governments sought to increase snooping and surveillance. Cloud providers moved data centres to jurisdictions with more stringent privacy laws.
