Our prediction that big data would become well-understood in 2015 turned out to be true. Early adopters put big data, data lakes, machine learning, artificial intelligence and cognitive computing into practice. Vendors came up with exciting new products. Visualization become more mainstream. And, big data started to be used effectively for cybersecurity.
