Michael Hearty of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance Accountancy (CIPFA) spoke to government ministers from FreeBalance customers Tuesday in Managua, Nicaragua. This was part of the program for the FreeBalance Minister’s Roundtable (FMRT) designed to share governance lessons learned. Digital transformation in government is the theme for FMRT. Hearty was able to integrate lessons from his experience as an advisor with the Welsh Government for many years.
The Welsh Government adopted a holistic approach to digital transformation that was of great interest to our government customers, particularly those from emerging economies. The reason is that they share some constraints with Wales and that the socio-cultural context was critical in creating effective interventions by the government.
More on the digital strategy of the Welsh Government.
