Great news from the Association of Government Accountants (AGA), as the Past President of the International Consortium on Governmental Financial Management (ICGFM), Linda Fealing was awarded the AGA International Achievement Award. FreeBalance is a strong supporter of ICGFM and our President and CEO, Manuel Pietra, is on a 2 year term as ICGFM President. Ms. Fealing has been a strong supporter of sharing Public Financial Management (PFM) lessons learned around the world.

Linda P. Fealing, CGFM, CGA, Former Inspector General, Organization of American States, to Receive AGA’s International Achievement Award
Dallas – Linda P. Fealing, CGFM, CGA, Northern Virginia Chapter, Former Inspector General, Organization of American States and Immediate Past President, International Consortium on Governmental Financial Management (ICGFM), will receive the prestigious AGA International Achievement Award from the Association of Government Accountants (AGA) on July 16 at the Association’s annual PDC training event in Dallas.
The AGA International Achievement Award recognizes leadership or outstanding achievement in international government financial management.
This award is in recognition of Ms. Fealing’s outstanding service as a government financial manager in serving governments of the Americas and her commitment to improving and advancing government financial management globally.
Ms. Fealing served the Organization of American States for sixteen years and in 2010 she retired as Inspector General. During her distinguished career as a Business Income Tax Auditor with Revenue Canada, Taxation, Ms. Fealing accepted the invitation of the Government of St. Lucia to lead a team of fiscal experts as Project Team Leader and successfully directed and managed the reorganization and restructuring process of the Inland Revenue Department's Income Tax policy reform. Ms. Fealing is a Professional Accountant and received her training in Toronto, Canada and London, England.
Ms. Fealing is an accomplished Executive and her skills include Internal and Income Tax Auditing and Management, Compliance, Project Management and Evaluation, Budget Management, Performance Analysis and Evaluation, Training and Development, Strategy Planning, Team Building, Change Management and Capacity Building.
