Ahmet Shala, former Minister of Economy and Finance from Kosovo, spoke Tuesday about important policy issues at the FreeBalance Minister’s Roundtable (FMRT) in Managua, Nicaragua.
Shala was able to bring significant perspective on policy issues and compromises, especially between investing in growth and protecting the environment.
Shala called for policies that promote good growth, the use of renewable energy sources and the collecting of “big data” to enable better decision-making. He pointed out government silos often result in a lack of information flow needed to optimize public policy.
