The “How can Libya Seize the Governance Opportunity” presentation takes place on July 15th at 6:00 p.m. at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Tripoli. “FreeBalance has worked with Governments around the world to introduce GRP technology that supports good governance, accountability and transparency,” said Matthew Olivier, FreeBalance Director of Global Marketing & Alliances. “This presentation looks at the critical success factors that FreeBalance has identified in multiple national and subnational GRP and IPFMIS implementations.” The conference program also includes keynote speakers from the World Bank and from Egypt, Estonia, Germany, Jordan, and Turkey government representatives.
The International Libyan Conference on Electronic Government will provide a “summary of opinions, thoughts, results and recommendations of research papers as a guiding effort in establishing a national e-Government roadmap for the new Libya”. E-government is seen as a way to improve efficiencies in the delivery of government services, enhance transparency and accelerate decentralization. The conference runs from July 14-15 and is being hosted by the Libyan Office of the Prime Minister, General Authority of Information, National Economic Development Board, Ministry of Higher Education, and Authority of Technical Training.
