ICGFM is proud to announce that our VP for Programs, David Nummy, Senior Public Sector Specialist (ECSPE), has been awarded the International Achievement Award from the Association of Government Accountability (AGA). AGA presented the award for leadership and outstanding achievement in international government financial management at its annual convention held in Dallas, TX, USA. AGA is a U.S. based professional association serving financial professionals in government and was founded over sixty years ago. Originally an association of government accountants it has expanded to include all financial professionals operating in the public sector.
David’s PFM career started with the U.S. Government, serving in both the legislative and executive branches, and culminated serving as Assistant Secretary for Management and Chief Financial Officer of the U.S. Treasury Department, a Senate confirmed position. Subsequently, David moved into international development working in over 40 countries over the last 20 years and was among the first civilians to enter post-conflict environments in Afghanistan, Iraq, Kosovo, Bosnia and Liberia, to assist in establishing financial functions of government.
David joined the Bank last year and has since been part of the Public Sector cluster of ECA PREM, working primarily in Central Asia.
