Digital transformation in government is an organizational change management nightmare of overcoming legacy technology and legacy thinking. Government organizations will begin to replace core monolithic technologies in 2017, slowly.
The public sector will learn from business efforts. Of new digital technology-enabled business models like the sharing economy. The key lesson won’t be as much about “digital” as it will be about “transformation.” This means the adoption of emerging practices of design thinking, DevOps, and agile.
