The FreeBalance Accountability SuiteTM was successfully utilized to produce the Government of Kiribati’s annual accounts report, bank reconciliation account report and management account report for the first time in June.

The country’s integrated financial management information system (IFMIS) leverages the FreeBalance Accountability Suite™ to enhance transparency, accountability and resilience, and to support the island’s strategic growth and development aims.

The Government of Kiribati selected FreeBalance to support effective public financial management (PFM) in 2022, and since then the local project team, supported by FreeBalance expertise around the globe, has worked alongside Ministry of Finance and Economic Development stakeholders to deliver digital transformation of the country’s PFM systems and processes.

The FreeBalance and Ministry project team was joined by Koin Uriam Kiritione (Secretary, Ministry of Finance and Economic Development) to celebrate this important milestone.
